Choosing Magazines That Will Make Money For Your Fundraiser

Posted in Non profit fundraising on October 21, 2009 by kevinipahe

When you are in charge of selecting Investing for your fundraising project, it can be quite a daunting task. Calling people at home in the evening after they get home from work can be difficult at best, in order to get them to buy what you are selling, even if it is from a reputable charity.

If you are going to call people in the evening after they get home from work, make your sales pitch quick and easy so that they don’t have much time for excuses.
Instead of listening to a sales pitch that can go on for hours, make your pitch to buy magazines using your charity to encourage them to help out those who are less fortunate.

Posted in Non profit fundraising on October 16, 2009 by kevinipahe

There are specific forms of information that should be included in any grant proposal sent to nonprofit donors. To start, you need a convincing cover letter. This is the introduction to your proposal, and lets nonprofit donors that engage in frequent corporate philanthropy know the exact purpose for the funding. The cover letter should also introduce your overall business concept to nonprofit donors. Moreover, it should also talk about other projects in which you

Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Looking for tips on organizing a wine-tasting fundraiser? Here are some ideas on organizing your fundraising event in order to maximize your proceeds.
Obviously, a wine-tasting event needs wine experts, so begin by seeking suitable merchant partnerships based not only on expertise, but also access to the best wines. After all, you have to be able to provide numerous bottles of expensive wine and there’s no sense in paying anything near retail price.

Partner with a wine merchant or distributor who can not only help with supplying wine and expert advice, but can also help sell advance tickets to your event.
Organization Tips
Getting plenty of advance publicity is a must. Take the time to put together a press release and get the word out to local media outlets such as tv and radio stations.
Be sure to offer tickets through not only your organization, but also through participating merchants and other groups who support your cause.
It never hurts to have another nonprofit group plugging your fundraising event to their supporters as well. Strike an agreement to do the same thing for their fundraiser.

Salvation Army Not Just A Religion A Charity Worth Giving To

Posted in Church fundraising on September 22, 2009 by kevinipahe

Last year during Christmas season I started to enter a store that I had shopped at regularly for years. I stopped at the store entrance because I felt that something was wrong. Then I realized that there was no bell ringing and no Salvation Army volunteer with his or her red kettle. I went into the store and asked the manager if he knew why the Salvation Army volunteer was not outside. He stated that the company had gotten complaints from people who were unhappy that a religious organization was soliciting donations in front of the company’s stores.

What exactly is a cheesecake calendar fundraiser? It’s a calendar with ‘tongue-in-cheek’ photos of community members combined with delicious cheesecake recipes on every page. The cheesecake aspect gives it something of a naughty connotation, but it’s really tasteful and all in good fun.

Getting started
Obviously, you’ll need a photographer and your calendar models, so choose a theme and start hitting up possible volunteers.

Raising Funds On Sanibel To Benefit The World

Posted in Church fundraising on September 7, 2009 by kevinipahe

Our friend Orlene on Sanibel is one of those good people who is always doing something good for others. . .

her kids, her friends, us, just about everyone she knows.
So when Orlene tells us about something she thinks is worthwhile, we listen.
We recently received an email from Orlene telling us about an event called Peek at the Unique, a paid tour of exclusive homes on Sanibel Island.

And so the good flows. The monies raised through the $60 per ticket price for the tour will go to the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva to support organizations that are improving the lives of women on the islands, in Lee County , as well as internationally.
Specifically, the tour monies will benefit these worthwile organizatons:
FISH of Sanibel and Community Housing Resources (CHR)
Brightest Horizons Child Development Center
PACE Center for Girls
Miracles in Action and GRACE, for projects combating Human Trafficking
Southwest Florida Addiction Services
Partners for Breast Cancer Care
The tour will offer a sneak peek at some exclusive homes not available for viewing by other means.
But the surprises don’t stop there.
